Leodis McKelvin’s Front Yard Gets the Message

In the aftermath of last night’s Buffalo Bills meltdown, the main target, Leodis McKelvin, woke up to see his lawn spray painted. Two messages were spray painted on the front lawn of McKelvin’s home.

One said that he should “learn to take a knee”, in apparent reference to his ill fated, late game decision to return a kickoff (which he fumbled) instead of downing the ball for a touchback. It also included the score of Monday’s game.

The other message stated the same advice–and was punctuated by an obscenity.

He wasn’t too upset because when the reporter showed up, he was standing there wearing socks and saying it could be fixed easily by mowing it.

Here’s a heads up Leodis. Just like the “Major League” when the players opened their lockers slowly to see if they had a pink slip, you should worry about the same thing. It’s one thing to just fumble once, but when you returned a kickoff 10 minutes before and fumbled then but got your ass saved by your teammates, it’s time to go back to basics. Do they make professionals carry the ball wherever they go?

Instead of mowing it, I think any gambler who bet the OVER or had New England in a parlay would be more than happy to pay a lawn boy to cut it. Leodis’ fumble made them some money!
